An alien ‐ I say I am
Much more than just a difference.
I say I’m fine,
Deep down inside, I’m insecure.
I’m not for sure
How I can be so powerful.
You say I’m fine
But in decline ‐ just waste since
I can’t reach my full potential.
You see me: a commodity,
You don’t know I’ll set myself free.
Ignore my very personhood.
Identity: it is no good.
My self-respect, in all aspects
I’ll be myself, no need for help.
I do not need you to save me.
I just need to be accepted.
