I am human, I have rights
But my rights aren’t always what is right.
But my existence is non-negotiable
And my ideas are not negligible.
I refuse to conform to what’s possible
Inside me I can seek my refuge
Where I am not besides the point.
I thought we could do better.
I lost my hope
I left my faith
I leapt across the pearly gates
And sought salvation in damnation
It was not the cure for me.
I would not give up for free
And thus, I pay the price,
To live with my identity
Is my forsaken prize.
